About General Mills
The company traces its beginnings to Cadwallader Washburn who builds his first flour mill in 1866 in Minneapolis. In 1869 Charles Pillsbury buys the mills in Minneapolis and enters the milling business. General Mills is best known for there ready to eat cereals like Lucky Charms, Wheaties and Cherrios. They are associated with Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Cascadian Farm and Muir Glen.
